Kanban and Agile Workflow Management
This course teaches Kanban as a distinct agile method for managing work, separate from Scrum's Sprint-based cadence. You will learn to visualize work on a Kanban board, apply work-in-progress (WIP) limits to expose and resolve bottlenecks, and measure flow using lead time, cycle time, and throughput. You will also learn to read and act on a cumulative flow diagram, define classes of service for different urgency levels, and evolve a Kanban system over time using lightweight cadences instead of fixed Sprints. By the end, you will be able to design and continuously improve a Kanban system for a real team, and you will understand clearly when a continuous-flow approach like Kanban is a better fit for the work than a Sprint-based approach like Scrum.
